Story:

Kaartavaraayan, also known as Raayan (played by Dhanush), lives peacefully in Anjanaouram with his brothers Muthuvelaraayan (Sundeep Kishan), Maanikyaraayan (Kalidas Jayaram), and his sister Durga (Dushara Vijayan). Their peaceful life is disrupted when Muthu gets into a fight with the local don, Dorai’s (Saravanan) men, leading to a dangerous feud. Another gangster, Sethuram (SJ Suryah), enters the scene with a deadly plan to kill Raayan. The story unravels why Sethuram wants to kill Raayan, who Raayan really is, and what his true mission is.

TRAILER:-

Positive Points:

When the film was announced, there was a lot of excitement because Dhanush was both acting and directing. Besides his strong acting, Dhanush shows his directing talent well.

Sundeep Kishan plays an important role and does a great job, especially in his scenes with Dhanush and Aparna Balamurali.

Dushara Vijayan surprises with her strong performance, especially in the second half. SJ Suryah delivers an excellent performance, as expected. Aparna Balamurali, Selvaraghavan, and the others do a decent job in their roles.

Negative Points:

The movie doesn't offer much new for viewers. Dhanush presents a typical story with few surprises, but the slow pace of the movie reduces its impact.

There isn’t a strong reason shown for the conflict between SJ Suryah’s and Dhanush’s characters, making it less convincing. Also, SJ Suryah's character could have been used better.

The film mainly appeals to action lovers and may not be suitable for families because of the violence.

Prakash Raj’s character lacks originality, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar’s role doesn’t add much to the plot. The movie could have been better with more emotional depth. The second half feels dragged out, with some unnecessary scenes added just to make the movie longer.
